Prepare the foundation
We start with an 8 × 6 × 4-inch box lined with a thick piece of PE foam. A recessed area cradles the drive.
Bag and identify the drive
The drive is placed in an anti-static bag and given a label identifying the enclosed drive.
Fit the side blocks
Custom-fitted side blocks prevent the drive from sliding around during shipment.
Complete the protective shell
The final PE foam insert is placed over the drive, surrounding it with protective cushioning on every side before the box is sealed.
Label the box
A matching label is applied to the side of the box so its contents remain clearly identified.
Seal it for shipment
The box is carefully taped shut. The drive is now ready for shipment.
